Our Crazy Life

Raising three kids just one day at a time

Zoo Atlanta May 10, 2010

I had such a great time with Jameson at the zoo.  We got there right when the park opened and it was a sunny day with a nice breeze.  I have to say that I’m impressed with Zoo Atlanta for keeping most of the path ways and exhibits in the shade.

We saw flamingos….

…and baby warthogs.

There were elephants…

…and zebras.

We goofed around a lot…

…especially by the gorillas.

And then got all serious when we stumbled upon an alligator.

Jameson didn’t want to leave without us taking home a goat from the petting zoo.

So I distracted him by goofing around some more.

He wanted to take home this little cutey as well.

That’s when I decided three hours at the zoo was plenty for one day.

Happy 4th birthday goober!  I sure hope you had a fun day with mommy!!

Jameson got a new sprinkler for his birthday.

Ayden tried to get even by squirting his brother in the head.

Ayden doesn't give up though. He's finally able to get even with his little brother!

A popsicle on the deck finished off the evening.

Halloween, 2008

My sweet little goober man is three years old today.  I love all of my children deeply, but for some reason Jameson holds a special place in my heart.  I think it’s because he’s not your average child.  We’ve gone through a lot lately to make sure there isn’t something “wrong” with Jameson.  Despite all of the evaluations we have put him through, the end result is that Jameson is an intelligent and strong-willed child.  He does show some signs of social delays, but we’ve been reassured that it’s something that he’ll grow out of with some coaching from us and his teachers.  Jameson is a funny and loving little boy who has the most amazing spirit.  I can’t wait to see just where that spirit will take him in life.

Today we brought ice-cream, chocolate syrup and dinosaur sprinkles to the school so that Jameson and his classmates can make birthday sundaes after their nap.  Tonight we’ll hit our favorite family restaurant, Wings & Things.  The kids love the variety on the children’s menu and the adults love the mugs of beer you can order for a buck a piece.  We’ll save the birthday cake and gifts for this weekend when Jason’s parents will be here to help us celebrate.

So here’s to my baby Jameson.  We love you sweetheart!
